ASMR | Drawing a Room with a Girl and an Older Man | Manga Inking & Finishing | No Talking

Today’s video is a compilation of the drawing process for the scene “A Room with a Girl and an Older Man.” It’s a simple background using one-point perspective, but when you include all the small details, I think it turned into a fairly intricate panel. Even though I made full use of the perspective ruler, the table is round, and the TV is placed at a slight angle, so I had to work with perspectives that were different from the room itself. On top of that, it also took me quite a while to decide where to place the characters. What’s interesting is the camera angle. Considering how small the room is, it would actually be impossible to place a camera in that position and capture this kind of shot. The camera would have to be positioned far beyond the wall in the foreground to make this composition possible. When you think about the camera position, the placement of the characters is also quite unnatural. That may be due to my lack of skill, but at the same time, I feel like it’s also one of the mysterious things about manga. If there’s an image you want to draw, you can somehow force it into existence. That’s one of the wonderful things about manga. Regardless of your skill level, if you have the feeling of “I want to create this kind of image,” there’s always a way to make it work. I still have a long way to go, but I’ll keep working steadily so I can express what’s inside me. Let’s both keep taking it one step at a time. Thank you for watching today’s video.
