宇久島（佐世保市宇久町）にはもう一つの島があります。たった8人のみが居住しており、そのほとんどが超高齢者です。日常生活は宇久島や小値賀島に出かけていく必要があります。寺島での生活は限界を迎えています。宇久島・寺島の佐世保市に送電するための発電事業のため、現在島には多くの業者が入って仕事をしていますが、島の歴史の足跡は忘れ去られつつあります。島を訪れる人もほとんどなく、住人が移住してしまえば、「寺島」はその役目を終え、無人島となります。 　宇久島からは神浦港経由で数分で行けます。自然そのまま、危険もあるけど、そこには見たことのない絶景が広がります。「長崎No.1の絶景島」かも知れません。あと数年くらいは行けるチャンスはあります。行くなら、今しかないと思います。 I will introduce Tera Shima island, which belongs to Uku island. Now only 8 people live there. They are all late 80s. They have to go to the neighbouring island to get daily needs or medical checks regularly. They think it is almost time to move on. Now the electric generation project is up and running on Uku Shima and Tera Shima, so many workers keep coming to this island. The electric power will send to Sasebo city to support the life in Sasebo city. When the construction is finished, we don't know how many people still live there. When no one is there, the commuting ships are no longer needed. It will come soon, for sure. Tera Shima island has a great view I've never seen with my eyes or on TV. Wild livings are still there, so you have to be careful when you are there. It's a little dangerous but still worth a visit. Now is the time, or never. I recommend coming here if you have a chance. Enjoy the view of this island, which doesn't have much time to watch.
