🗣️How to Count People (How many of you?) In Japan, the staff will often ask, "Nan-mei sama desu ka?" (How many people?). You can reply with these: 1 person: Hitori (ひとり) 2 people: Futari (ふたり) 3 people: San-nin (さんにん) 4 people: Yo-nin (よにん) 5 people: Go-nin (ごにん) 6 people: Roku-nin (ろくにん) Many people: Oozei (おおぜい) Pro Tip: Adding "Desu" at the end (e.g., "Futari desu") makes it polite! 🗣️Food Allergy Vocabulary (Common Allergens) If you have a specific dietary restriction, use the word for the allergen followed by "no arerugii ga arimasu" (I have an allergy to...).
